Business Controller, Operations

Help drive business performance in Finland's leading healthcare company

We are looking for an analytical, proactive and business-minded Business Controller, Operations to join Terveystalo's Healthcare Services Business Controlling team.

In this role, you will take ownership of the financial performance management of your own geographical areas. Working closely with business unit directors, you will support business performance through financial analysis, reporting and actionable insights.

As part of a team of three business controllers, you will have your own areas of responsibility while working closely together with your colleagues, sharing knowledge and supporting each other in developing both the business and the finance function.

The position reports to the Director, Business Control. We offer you a full-time permanent position.

Your key responsibilities

Partner with the business

• Act as the finance business partner for your designated geographical areas
• Support Business Unit Directors with financial insight and decision support
• Participate in regular business performance reviews and help identify opportunities and improvement areas
• Prepare business case calculations and provide financial guidance for operational decisions

Drive business performance

• Prepare monthly reporting and performance analyses
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Monitor costs, profitability and business performance
• Perform month-end controlling activities, including accruals and financial follow-up
• Deliver high-quality ad hoc analyses and management materials

Develop ways of working

• Contribute to the continuous development of business controlling, reporting and finance processes
• Support the development and utilization of reporting tools, including Qlik Sense
• Explore new ways of working and leverage technologies, including AI, to improve efficiency and create value

We hope you bring

• Master's degree in finance, economics, business administration, technology or another relevant field
• At least three years of relevant experience in business controlling or another finance business partnering role
• Experience working in medium-sized or large organizations
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial planning and business performance
• Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools; knowledge of Qlik Sense is an advantage
• Commercial mindset and proactive approach to problem solving
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to explain financial information in a clear and practical way
• Curiosity, willingness to learn and drive to continuously improve ways of working
• Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English

Previous experience in service businesses or consumer-facing industries is considered an advantage.
