Terveystalo joins leading working life actors at the Hyvää työtä Forum
New cooperation opens up opportunities for building a more positive working life.
At Terveystalo, we are delighted to be involved in promoting good working life in the new Hyvää työtä Forum alongside other fantastic Finnish employers and working life actors. The forum focuses on generating more positive discourse on working life and researching, developing, and sharing sustainable working practices.
We believe that working life needs to be developed together, and the forum offers a great opportunity to bring about positive change throughout Finland.
– At Terveystalo, we have long believed in the importance of creating positive discourse on working life and solving working life challenges together with our customers by utilizing data and our expertise. Working life is constantly undergoing positive development and renewal. When these successes are expanded, more and more people can be part of this change. Together, we can bring about significant change, which is why it is great to join this forum as a partner with others, summarizes ourSVP Corporate Health Laura Karotie.
The Hyvää työtä Forum draws its strength from the research tradition of sustainable work and, in particular, from the findings of Positive Organizational Scholarship, which shed light on ways to build an environment that supports sustainable work and allows employees to thrive.
– Sustainable work means work that can be done over the long term without exhaustion, as it supports the individual's health, work ability, and well-being. At the same time, work provides a sense of accomplishment and meaning, as well as an opportunity to grow and participate. However, this is not only beneficial to the individual, as a well-being employee is able to do high-quality and productive work, which also creates a foundation for the organization's long-term success and competitiveness. The concept of sustainable work is scientifically proven, tested in practice, and a forward-looking way to build a better working life for all of us, says Jaakko Sahimaa, founding member and advocate for good working life, explaining the idea behind the forum.
Alongside Terveystalo, the forum already has a fantastic group of leading Finnish working life actors: Varma, If, Staffpoint, Taloustutkimus, Innovation Home, Educo, the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce, the City of Turku, Renta, the Bank of Finland, and Coxa. We hope that the forum will continue to grow and inspire more organizations to join. Together with our partners in the forum, we can advance Finnish working life and build a stronger shared future.
