Therefore, the appointment rates found in this price list are indicative and may vary depending on the rates determined by the specialist. The average price stated is the actual average price paid by consumer customers for the service in question during the first part of 2026. If you want to learn more about the pricing of a specific specialist, you can find the prices in the specialist’s details.

Rates are determined on the basis of the total duration of the appointment. The total duration also includes the time spent for reading the patient history and recording information in the patient information systems.

Dental care

The price estimate is determined on the basis of the booked service and also includes the time spent by the specialist on reviewing the preliminary information and making entries in the patient information system. If, for medical reasons, the time allocated is not sufficient considering the nature of necessary therapy and health care services, our specialists will discuss the necessary additional services and their prices with you. Please note that the price estimate of the service does not include, for example, any examinations, imaging tests, statements and procedures carried out during the appointment. For more information, please see our price list.
An appointment fee of EUR 31.90 will be added to the price of a dentist’s appointment and an appointment fee of EUR 21.90 will be added to the price of a dental hygienist’s appointment. In addition, a Kanta fee of EUR 3.70 is added to all appointments. For treatments provided by a specialist dentist, a 30% surcharge is added to the prices of treatments within the dentist's specialty. Special out-of-hours prices apply on weekends, days preceding a public holiday and on public holidays. On Saturdays and days preceding a public holiday, the an increase of up to 16% may be added to the prices, and on Sundays and public holidays, an increase of up to 40% may be added. The price estimate does not include the above-mentioned increases. The prices do not take into account Kela reimbursement.

More information about the prices

The service fee covers the costs associated with handling the patient’s case. Thanks to Terveystalo’s service fee, we are able to offer our customers a 24/7 online, mobile and telephone appointment booking service, advice over the phone or at the clinic, SMS services, Terveystalo mobile application and online services including remote services such as chat and video appoinments. The service fee also covers general administrative expenses such as office, economic and organizational expenses. The service fee is charged in addition to the price of the visit. The doctor’s fee only covers the costs associated with the treatment.

The Kanta fee is charged to cover Terveystalo’s system expenses arising from the authority fees and requirements related to Kanta services. The Kanta fee also covers electronic prescriptions and is charged for all visits which are recorded in the patient’s medical records.

For each visit, the following patient information is transferred from Terveystalo’s patient data system to the Kanta service: information about visits, patient records, summarized information about treatments, diagnoses, critical risk information and laboratory referrals and results. Starting from 1 January 2021, all images taken during imaging will also be transferred to the Archive of Imaging Data (Kvarkki) of Kanta services (excluding oral health and screening mammography images).

Dental care visits can be paid with Edenred or Epassi. For more extensive dental care costs, you can also use Santander Ostorahoitus and OP Tililuotto.

A paper invoice always includes a billing surcharge of €6.90.
