Terveystalo strengthens disease prevention in collaboration with Finnish health technology company MedicubeX
Terveystalo and the Finnish health technology company MedicubeX have entered into a strategic partnership that will make Terveystalo the only private healthcare provider in Finland to have access to MedicubeX's self-monitoring stations (e-Health Stations™). The aim of the partnership is to support the health of the Finnish population and prevent lifestyle diseases.

The innovative e-Health Centre™, developed by MedicubeX, is a low-threshold service that provides reliable and accurate information on health status and disease risks easily and quickly. At the self-measurement station, in just over five minutes, the customer can perform a self-health check, measuring blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, temperature, weight, body composition, AGE value indicating the risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes, as well as a concise ECG (electrocardiogram).
- As the population ages and the dependency ratio declines, we at Terveystalo are constantly looking for new ways to promote the health and well-being of the population. By making the e-Health Station™ available to our customers, we aim to prevent the onset of lifestyle diseases and support the implementation of lifestyle changes," says Ilse Rauhaniemi, a leading physician in preventive health care at Terveystalo and a specialist in occupational health care.
- Our aim is to prevent as many serious illnesses as possible. Our main idea is to lower the threshold for taking care of your own health and to help you achieve better results through regular monitoring. Our vision fits perfectly with Terveystalo's vision, and our cooperation enables us to help Terveystalo's customers to take care of their own wellbeing in a completely new way and to offer them support on this journey," says Vili Kostamo CEO, Doctor from MedicubeX.
First e-Health station in occupational health for Teollisuuden Voima staff
In addition to Finland, the Finnish MedicubeX e-Health stations™ have also been introduced in England, Estonia, Latvia and Germany at Frankfurt University Hospital.
- According to customer feedback, the user experience of the e-Health Stations™ is excellent and people feel that it provides them with good information about their health. Regular monitoring of their own values also strengthens people's own motivation to promote their health. It is essential for the resilience of our society to take advantage of such innovations. Of course, Finnish working life will also benefit from our cooperation, as we will be able to take better care of the health of the working-age population," says Rauhaniemi.
In September 2025, the first Occupational Health e-Health Station™ will be introduced for Teollisuuden Voima's staff at the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant in Eurajoki, Finland.
- At Olkiluoto, we have made long-term efforts to maintain and develop the working capacity of our personnel. That is why we are now looking forward to exploring new ways to identify lifestyle diseases as early as possible. It is great that we can lower the threshold for our employees to monitor their own working capacity and health by bringing a self-measurement station into the workplace," says Jaana Isotalo, Director of Human Resources and Communications at Teollisuuden Voima.
At Olkiluoto, the measurement data from the self-monitoring station is not transferred directly to the healthcare professional, but the client receives not only their own results, but also reference values and a recommendation to discuss their results with their occupational health team if necessary.
- The professional's role is to interpret the results and provide support and advice on health promotion. The effects of one's own choices can be reflected in one's own results, even in a reasonably short time. To keep you motivated, it is easy and effortless to check them on the e-Health Station™, even on a monthly basis. If necessary, and if the results so require, additional tests are of course also carried out," says Isotalo.
- I am delighted and proud that we can start our innovative cooperation at Olkiluoto. For the security of supply of our country and for Europe as a whole, it is vitally important to safeguard the health of our occupational health customers. In addition, work at a nuclear power plant is safety-critical, so the ability of employees to work and function well is invaluable. Our customer's strong will to take care of its employees and to ensure the best possible operation of the company, as well as its interest in new innovative solutions, will enable us to start operations already in autumn 2025. I believe that this cooperation will also provide us with important information for the future and I hope that we can extend the service to more of our customers in the future," says Rauhaniemi.
