What is it about?

In our chat you can contact a specialist quickly, whenever and wherever you want, without an appointment. In the chat you can discuss with the specialist, get instructions for care at home and recommendations for further care. You can also send a picture or other file to the specialist when needed and open a video connection.

Doctor chat 24/7 and Nurse chat 24/7 are always available. If you prefer, you can also directly choose the video appointment with a General Practitioner. Other useful remote services are Renewal of a prescription, Paediatricians chat (chat or video) or Tooth chat.

What can be treated?

By opening the chat or an instant video appointment, you can ask for advice and get help, instructions for treatment at home or recommendations for further care, immediately when you need it. You can also get a referral for laboratory tests or a prescription. The service can't be used for the treatment of serious illnesses.

How does it work?

The chat and the direct video appointment works best via the Oma Terveys app. You can also use the Oma Terveys website with the Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge browsers.

What does it cost?

The direct remote appointments without prior bookings, have a fixed price. Some of the services are compensated by Kela.

  • Doctor Chat 24/7: Price 34 € (42 € without Kela compensation) during weekdays from 7 am to 9 pm and 44,50 € (52,50 €) during weekends and midweek holidays. At night (9pm to 7am) the service costs 55 € (63 €).
  • General practitioners video appointment: Price 52 € / 10 min during weekdays (60 € without Kela compensation), 65 € / 20 min (73 €) and 82 € / 30 min (90 €). Extra charge according the price list on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Nurse chat 24/7: price 20 €. There is no Kela compensation for the service.
  • Renewal of prescriptions: Price 20 € (28 € without Kela compensation) during weekdays, on Saturdays 27 € (35 €) and on Sundays 34 € (42 €).
  • Pediatricians chat:
    • Chat: price 58 € (without Kela compensation 70 €) during weekdays, on Saturdays 75,50 € (87,50 €) and on Sundays 93 € (105 €).
    • Video appointment: price during weekdays 78 € / 10 min (without Kela compensation 90€), 100,50 € / 20 min (112,50 €) and 123 € / 30 min (135 €). Extra charge according the price list on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Tooth chat: price 40 €. There is no Kela compensation for the service.

As a private customer you will receive an invoice to the Oma Terveys service.

For occupational health care customers, the services are free of charge, if they are included in the company's occupational health care contract.

Video appointment when it suits you

What is it about?

Video appointments are very handy when you want to save time and travel. You can contact a professional from the comfort of your own home or when travelling, for example. Video appointments are offered by GPs, specialists and other specialists, such as psychologists, dietitians and nurses, from around the country.

What can be treated?

Video appointments can provide help in health issues that do not require a physical examination. Video appointments are suitable for, for example, therapy visits or when you want to discuss treatment for an illness that has already been diagnosed. In addition to initial visits, you can schedule a video appointment for a follow-up visit with a familiar specialist. You can also get a referral to another specialist or to laboratory tests, for example.

What does it cost?

In general our specialists define the costs for appointments for themselves. The cost for a video appointment is the same as the cost for a traditional appointment at the doctors. General prices can be seen in our price list here. Increased rates for the weekend are applied. In addition to the appointment fee, an outpatient clinic fee (21,80 €) and a Kanta fee (2,10 €) are charged.

Private customers will receive an invoice after their visit in the Oma Terveys app.

The service is free of charge for occupational health care customers, if the service is included in their company's' occupational health care contract.

 

Telephone appointment where you want

What is it about?

Telephone appointments are very handy when you want to save time and travel. All you need is a phone. A telephone appointment is made to a selected specialist and means the specialist will call you at the appointed time to the number you've given. Telephone appointments are available to nearly all our specialists around the country. Telephone appointments can also be made to the dentist.

Give your number in the field for Additional information when you are making the booking.

All you need for a telephone appointment, is a telephone. The specialist will call to on the number you've given at the appointed time. Give the chosen number in the Additional information field, when making the booking. Please ensure that the phone line isn't busy during the appointed time and have your booking number and Kela card at hand.
