Our remote services are there to help with all health and well-being issues related to children. They are available at the most convenient time without extra travel. You can use our remote services by booking a video or telephone appointment with an expert of your choice or without an appointment for example in our Pediatrician chat.

What kind of problems can be treated at remote appointments for children? 

At a remote appointment, you can ask for advice on any health issues concerning your child, and many problems can be solved without visiting a clinic. The specialist can assess the need and urgency for care, refer the child to necessary examinations and prescribe medication. Remote appointments are also a convenient way to have a follow-up visit with a familiar specialist.

To be able to use our remote services on behalf of a child, you need to be recorded as the child’s guardian in Terveystalo’s patient information system. If you haven’t used Terveystalo services on behalf of your child before, you need to be added as a guardian before using the services. If the child is under 12 years of age, you can add yourself as a guardian when booking an appointment online, in the Terveystalo Oma Terveys app or by contacting our customer service. If the child is over 12 years of age, the child has to give their consent at our customer service.

When using remote services on behalf of a child, we recommend using the Terveystalo Oma Terveys mobile app. If you have already been added as a guardian, you can also use the Oma Terveys web service.

What is Pediatrician Chat?

What is Pediatrician Chat?

The Pediatrician Chat provides a flexible way to contact an experienced pediatrician without an appointment from anywhere. It is open every day from 10 am to 8 pm. You can use the chat to discuss your issue and, for example, send a photo or another file to the expert. A video connection may also be established during the chat. In that case, we charge you for a video visit without an appointment.

 

How can I book a telephone or video appointment for a child?

How can I book a telephone or video appointment for a child?  

As a guardian, you can use our online booking to make a remote appointment with an expert of your choice for a child that is under 12 years of age. To make an appointment, select “Book for another person” and enter the child’s age. To display available video and telephone appointments, select “Remote appointment” under clinic search.

If the child is over 12 years of age, you can make a video appointment through our customer service or online booking using the child’s own strong identification.

How to have a remote appointment for a child in the Oma Terveys mobile app?

How to have a remote appointment for a child in the Oma Terveys mobile app? 

Download the Terveystalo Oma Terveys application from the app store for your device. 

  1. Enable the app or update to the latest version. As a new user, you have to log into the app with your online bank identifiers or mobile ID.

  2. If you have not been recorded as the child’s guardian in Terveystalo’s patient information system, you can add yourself as a guardian by selecting “Family members” from the user menu in the upper right corner. Next, verify payments on behalf of the child under “Payments”.

  3. To use remote services on behalf of your child, select your child as the user from the user menu in the upper right corner.


    4. You can find our remote services and the video appointments booked for your child under “Remote services”. The virtual waiting room opens 5 minutes before the scheduled video appointment.
    5. As a guardian, you will receive an invoice after the visit in the app. A notification of the invoice will be sent to the email address or phone number provided in your information. Please make sure that your contact details are up to date.

Use your device's browser to access omaterveys.terveystalo.com.

 

  1. Log in with your own bank identifiers or mobile ID.

  2. Select your child as the user from the user menu in the upper right corner. If you have not been recorded as the child’s guardian in Terveystalo’s patient information system, the child is not displayed in the menu. If the child is under 12 years of age, you can add yourself as a guardian when booking an appointment online, in the Terveystalo Oma Terveys app or by contacting our customer service. If the child is over 12 years of age, the child has to give their consent at our customer service.

  3. You can find our remote services and the video appointments booked for your child under “Remote services”. The virtual waiting room opens 5 minutes before the scheduled video appointment.
