Risk management and internal supervision

Terveystalo Group's risk management is part of the company's strategic process. In connection with the annual review of the strategy process the company also performs a risk evaluation, which aims to recognize the most crucial and probable risks related to the company in terms of reaching its goals. The focus areas of internal supervision and internal audit are directed based on this risk evaluation.

The risks are classified as follows in the risk evaluation:

- risks caused by the operating environment, over which the company and its management have little or no control;

- process risks, which are operational risks related to the company’s key processes and which the company can affect directly; and

- risks related to information, which are related to the information received by company management (for instance the topicality of the information, completeness, accuracy).

The Audit Committee has access to an external cooperation partner that helps it arrange risk management and internal supervision.

Risk supervision responsibility also applies to the Group management, unit managers and supervisors. The Audit Committee assesses the sufficiency of the supervision system and the content of the annual risk management. In daily risk management and internal supervision operations, the unit managers play the key role.
